Middle School History Literature Course
Time Travel: A Plunge through American History
Service Description
Lexington 课堂老师 Susan (美国人), 毕业于 UC Berkeley,有三十多年的课堂和辅导经验。 The focus of this class is on reading, writing, and understanding historical events through the eyes of people who experienced those events. We will be reading both primary and secondary source documents to better understand the conflicting viewpoints of people who were there. Students will then use what they have learned to write well-researched and reasoned paragraphs and essays expressing their own viewpoints. Students will learn how to conduct research, how to synthesize and evaluate their findings, how to write effective theses, how to support those theses with strong evidence, and how to analyze the evidence. Students will have an opportunity to submit one of their essays to a historical writing competition.
