Service Description

Our AP U.S. History Preview Course is designed specifically for students who are preparing for the AP U.S. History exam. This course consists of 15 sessions, each 120 minutes long, covering approximately one-third to one-half of the AP U.S. History exam content. It aims to provide students with a solid foundation in key historical events, figures, and themes before the school year begins, giving them an early advantage and preparing them for the challenges of the AP exam. Course Content: Unit 1: Colonial America and the Revolution Students will explore the origins of the American colonies, the development of colonial society, and the causes leading to the American Revolution. This unit covers the Declaration of Independence, key battles, and the formation of a new government. Unit 2: The Early Republic and Expansion Study the establishment of the U.S. government under the Constitution, the presidency of George Washington, and early expansion. Topics include the Louisiana Purchase, the War of 1812, and the rise of political parties. Unit 3: Civil War and Reconstruction This unit examines the causes of the Civil War, focusing on slavery, states' rights, and key events leading up to the war. The Reconstruction period, racial equality struggles, and the key amendments that reshaped the nation are also covered. Unit 4: Industrialization and the Gilded Age Students will explore the rapid industrialization of the U.S., the rise of big business, labor movements, and social issues during the Gilded Age. This unit also looks at urbanization, immigration, and political corruption. Unit 5: The Progressive Era Focus on the social and political reforms of the Progressive Era, including labor rights, women's suffrage, government regulation, and the efforts to address social and economic inequality.
