AP Macroeconomics Course Duration: September – First Week of May Schedule: 1.5 hours per week Holidays: No classes during designated holidays Course Description: This year-long AP Macroeconomics course covers GDP, inflation, unemployment, economic growth, aggregate supply and demand, fiscal policy, monetary policy, the financial system, international trade, and exchange rates. Students will learn to understand the relationships among major economic indicators and become comfortable working with important macroeconomic models and graphs. The course emphasizes applying economic concepts to different scenarios rather than simply memorizing definitions. From April through the first week of May, students will complete comprehensive review, targeted FRQ practice, mock exams, and error analysis. Course Goals: Develop a comprehensive understanding of macroeconomics, strengthen economic modeling and graph-analysis skills, and improve both school and AP exam performance.
